Melody L. Copenny is a poet, writer, author and storyteller living a gospel-centered life. An Atlanta native, she resides in Orlando, FL and writes to be real, relevant and reveal.
She’s a journalist and communicator for an international non-profit organization where she covers national and international stories with themes of hope and eternity in mind.
Melody’s passionate about helping grievers grieve well as they walk through “the valley of the shadows.” She’s compelled to inject her voice into the world by pursuing a regular intersection of creativity, words, theology and popular culture.
A lover of the hot mess alert, she enjoys a flexatarian-pescatarian-vegetarian lifestyle with hints of vegan tastes, running 5K , 10K, 15K and half marathon races with her BGR sole sisters and listening to classic soul, funk and R&B music.
You can learn more about Melody’s personal story and what led her into a writing career at Missionary Writer.
She’s also a member of Redbud Writers Guild, an international community of Christian women who envision a vibrant and diverse movement of women who create in community and who influence culture and faith. Redbud members strive to change the world with words as we foster a safe sisterhood of creatives who thrive in a non-competitive, supportive community.
In 2021, she’ll be featured on Propel Sophia, a platform that’s part of the Propel Women collective.
